Pool tile cleaned by the owner, with no harsh chemicals
Calcium scale and stains lifted off the tile line with a soft abrasive mineral, then sealed, for pools in Prosper, Celina and Frisco.
What scale does to tile
Build-up on pool tile is more than a look. Scale can etch the tile surface, causing the tile to look dull and faded prematurely. Davis Pool Service specializes in removing build-up and stains from pool tile and other surfaces.
Regular cleaning can prolong the life of your tile and save you thousands in expensive tile repairs and replacement.
Weekly pool service does not remove calcium or lime scale from any surface of the pool, the tile or the stone. That is why tile cleaning is a separate service for pools in Prosper, Celina and Frisco.

The five steps, in order
First, enough water is removed from the pool to expose the tile line. Then the tile is cleaned with top of the line equipment by the owner, Glenn Davis, using an environmentally friendly soft abrasive mineral that is safe for all types of pool tile. No toxic or harsh chemicals are used during the process.
Next, a protective tile sealant is applied and the pool begins refilling. The pool is then vacuumed to remove most of the media debris, using a separate vacuum collection tank so the debris does not end up in your filter.
Last, the pool stays cloudy for a while and needs extra filtration. Monitor your run times until the water clears.
How long it takes, and what the water does after
A cleaning typically takes 4-6 hours. Larger pools, or tile with excessive build-up, take longer.
Expect cloudy water after the cleaning, since the mineral media is vacuumed out rather than left behind. Extra filtration and longer run times are part of getting it clear again.
Some fountains, infinity walls and other types of water features can be cleaned too. Call 214.305.4136 and describe yours, and Glenn can tell you whether it is a job he can take.
